I plan on reading "Eating To Die" by Dr. Lottie Perkins who is a natural wellness consultant.
Congrats to poet and author Toshia Shaw on her debut novel "High Stakes." I am looking forward to reading it, and will post a review later on. In the meantime, be sure to check out her On The Road To Queendom blog.
I recently pre-ordered a hard copy of "Dmitry's Royal Flush" by Latrivia S. Nelson, which is the sequel to "Dmitry's Closet". Since the release date for the paperback version has been pushed back because of printing delays, I was able to receive a fan copy (Thanks Mrs. Nelson!). I finished reading the novel within two days, and it was awesome; very suspenceful, and I never knew what to expect. I plan to re-read the novel once I receive a copy in the mail within a few weeks.

I found this recipe at Cooking.com, which would be great to try. I was originally looking for a vegan alternative, which I will post soon. As always, it's better to eat foods in moderation. So if you have a sweet tooth, then you will enjoy these peanut butter bonbons.
*You can make substitutions with the ingredients; if you have peanut allergies, avoid using peanut butter.
Painting your nails is a wonderful addition to any beauty regiment. Nudes, bright colors, mattes, bold reds, blues, metallics, and every shade in between- we usually color our nails to reflect our style, our mood, or just to make a statement. Yet some nail polish can be toxic. If you are looking for a safe, vegan-friendly formula, then consider Zoya Nail Polish.
Zoya nail polish, including nail treatments, are free of toluene, formaldehyde, DBP and camphor. They offer over 300 nail shades, with a variety of seasonal collections. Their nail polish is reasonably priced, which starts at $7.00.
High Stakes by Toshia Shaw centers around three best friends living in Las Vegas, Nevada. While fictional, the story is seemingly realistic to what goes on in Sin City. The characters are relatable, especially because of what they go through; they are bound by friendship, but like any relationship there are challenges. Their loyalty to one another is tested, making you question what true friendship really is. The plot is filled with drama, unexpected situations, and emotional moments, which is certainly worth reading.
Toshia Shaw is a writer and poet. She is also the Executive Director of the Purple Wings Organization and is on the Executive Board of the Nevada Youth Alliance.
Black Women In Antiquity (Journal of African Civilizations; Volume 6)by Ivan Van Sertima is a collection of essays surrounding historical Black women throughout ancient civilizations. This book delves into a subject- history- where notable African figures have been excluded, ignored, or undervalued. This is a necessary guide to understanding African history, and the many roles that Black women have played in shaping our world.
Author Latrivia S. Nelson has done it again with the second installment in The Medlov Crime Family Series. The drama continues from Dmitry's Closet to Dmitry's Royal Flush: Rise of the Queen. After three years, Royal is still trying to cope with what happened to her as a result of Ivan (Dmitry's brother), for which Dmitry blames himself. Anatoly, Dmitry's son, is now the head of the notorious Medlov Crime Family. Anatoly comes to Dmitry, seeking his help with an offer that he can't refuse.
outthetube | April 22, 2007 Ancient Kemet (Ancient Egypt) was a 100% Black African built and ruled civilization. Despite all historical efforts by Eurocentric specialists to conceal, misrepresent, degrade, downplay and plagiarize this truth, Black African scholars and specialists have successfully refuted all systematic efforts to separate this great Black African history from Black African peoples worldwide. This particular trailer is to advance the truth about Ancient Kemet and it is very different from what is the actual full video portrays. But feel free to order the video if you choose to.
